Hey guys, you may have noticed I have been pretty inactive with paintball this season. The primary reason for this is that all my gear is either broken, or not suited for speedball.
As I really miss paintball and want to get back in, I was wondering what would be a good marker to buy. Im not made of cash, so if I could keep it $400 and under, that would be great.
I saw the dangerous power G3 can be had online for 300, and that looks like a pretty good deal. I have also looked a little bit at the invert mini and the proto rail. I really have been out of the loop for a while, and I don't know what is good.
Let me know what you think of these, as well as any other markers you think would be better.
Also, I would need a loader, so suggestions there would be good too.
Thanks |

there are a bunch of great high end used guns on pbnation's b/s/t section
not sure if you want to buy used but that will get you a very good deal for 400 |

Best (new) bang for the buck on the market, made by a proven company.
For $300 it is very tough to beat the value that the tech in the 09 slg has. |

| how would you compare the 09 slg with the DP g3? The DP comes across as a higher class gun for a lower cost as opposed to the SLG's sear design. Im not sure if that sort of thing matters. |

| The UL slg, even though it operates on a sear design, is the better overall marker, imo. |

Alright, ive been looking around, and it seems that in general people say the g3 beats the ul slg. I personally feel that the g3 is a better deal at the same price as the slg, but I can be swayed, like to hear some details. Also, I ran across a site that is selling an etek ego and halo b v35 for $400.
http://paintballgateway.com/newblitecete.html
is that a good deal? is this an old marker? would I be better off with a more modern one?
I know I am being a pain, but I dont want to make a bad purchase. Also, I think this is what Im gunna ask my parents for for christmas, so the sooner I make a decision the better.
thanks guys. |

That's a pretty legit deal for brand new. The eteks will definitly be better than either the G3 or slg by a mile and combined with a V35 halo i think that is pretty good. The etek is basically an 05 ego-lite. More or less same shooting feel, fewer frills, same ease of maintenance and reliability.
The thing is you could get a hell of a lot better deal in general if you buy used, the problem with buying old guns new from distributors is that they overprice them compared to what they can be had on the 2nd hand market, regardless of condition.
Markers that could be found in the 400's are 05 egos, pm's of various years, older dm's, lots of previously cream of the crop markers out there used. |
